Be Careful What You Pray For

When we pray, sometimes we want God to answer our most inner questions, wants or request. God’s timing is always different from our timing. That means if you prayed for something and it hasn’t  come to pass yet, it doesn’t mean he hasn’t answered it. As matter of fact, you are on the path that will lead to your answer. Even when it doesn’t look or feel like it.

For instance, someone can pray that God will send them a good mate. Let’s say years go by and they still haven’t seen God’s promise but only seen dead ends. The greater the wait, the greater the blessing. God knows that there is a process they must go through before they see it come to pass. That trail will come with delayed timing, frustration, pain, judgement, discouragement, rejection, the wrong people who come and go in their lives and etc. If you ask for a good mate then he will send them, but you got to go through the process. There are no shortcuts. It won’t be easy and it will come with a sacrifice. The same thing applies to opportunities and career advancement. There is something that you must be willing to give up, in order to receive God’s best.

You must make room for the new. You cannot keep old furniture in your house while trying to make room for the new furniture.

Be careful what you pray for, because there is a process you must endure to get your prayers answered. Never allow your faith to be distinguished, but instead replenished.
