Breaking The Cycle

2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new“.

You can break the cycle and the generational curse. Repeating the same cycle is like running into a brick wall. Repeating a cycle is also like driving on a dead end road that leads to nowhere. There is a reason why God has called you for such a time as this. You were called for a higher purpose. You are different for a reason. What’s in your family or surroundings will not be passed on to you. The cycle ends with you. Being different and chosen comes with it’s own sets of difficulties and challenges,but he is there every step of the way.  The reward will be much more greater than the struggle.

Obedience is greater than sacrifice. It’s better to suffer for righteousness than from evil. Take things one step at a time, everything is a process. He has call you to break the cycle. You are the Abraham, Joseph and Moses of your family. You are chosen. The enemy plans and traps shall not prosper or prevail. You are not what they say you are. Be different with a fresh newness, glow and energy.  He can break every chain, soul tie, and strong hold. Give him all your burdens. There is a reason why he picked you. He has called you to break the cycle.

Hot Or Cold?

Are you committing your all or are you giving him just some of you?  When serving God, there is no border line or in between. It’s either all or nothing. There is also no such thing as lukewarm. Most people like their beverages either hot or cold.  So if people do not even like lukewarm food or beverages, how can God be O.K. with lukewarm? It is written in Revelation 3:15-16: (KJV) “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.  So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth”.

I must admit that there was a point in where I was lukewarm. I believed and I had faith, but I did not surrender my all. I gave him pieces but not all. I write this post today to say, Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. Do not become a part time/convenient servant. God wants bold, obedient and strong servants that will serve him with their all and more.

Temptation Is Everywhere

|

temptationWhat a title. It is written in Romans 7:22 (KJV): “I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me”. A choice of righteousness and evil is always set before us. Even when we do the right thing, evil is always present. It does not take discipline, strength or control to do the wrong thing. Obeying him takes courage and power. Do not allow the temptations of this world to overcome you. Do not partake in the very things that is at work to destroy your soul. Trials are there to build you and not kill you. No matter how anointed, gifted or talented you are, there will always be some form of temptation. It does not go away just because of who you are and where your going in life. We cannot fight temptation through the flesh.  Matthew 26:41: says “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak”. Our instructions is to watch & pray. We must also put on the full armor of God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

No temptation is undefeatable. Remember, 1 Corinthians 10:13: says “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it”.

There is no piece of fragile satisfaction that is worth it. Again, endure until the very end and he shall reward you with a crown of life. He has given you everything you need in order to overcome the world for he has overcame it first.

Always Put In Your Best: Striving For Perfection!

|

do your best_1Always put in your best and nothing less. Whether it’s your craft, gift or job; put in your best work. Allow nothing to go to waste. Although we are not perfect, it doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t strive for perfection. If we are putting in our best in other areas such as our careers, school or fitness life, then we should always put in our best with our spiritual life. That is the foundation of who we are. Giving him the highest honor of how we live, is part of putting in our best effort. It is written in Numbers 18:29 (KJV): that “Out of all your gifts ye shall offer every heave offering of the LORD, of all the best thereof”. When we give the LORD all that we have which includes our heart, mind, body and soul, we are giving him our best. Put your all into everything you do even when it looks like your fallen. Our job is to not perfect ourselves through our own natural strength, but through JESUS. Give him the glory in everything you do, our strengths and gifts are not for us, but for him. Focus on being the best you can be and leave the rest up to him. Nothing less than 100% 🙂

Let No Man Still Your Joy

It is written in John 16:22: (KJV) “And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you”.

We live in a time now in where joy can be easily taken away . It seems like today our joy and peace are fragile, which can easily crumble. But remember, the joy of the LORD shall be your strength. Stop allowing other people or situations to take your joy. You are responsible for your joy, why let someone else rob it because their miserable? There is an old saying that goes, misery loves company. Some times people want to bring you down, because they cannot stand the sight to see someone else happy or joyful. Why dim your light? There’s nothing wrong with being compassionate for others, but discern when someone is intentionally trying to get you out of your character.

Growing in the LORD means not that you are not lead by feelings (flesh). When his presence is in you, no one or nothing can take it. Do not let the enemy to rob you out of your joy. Life can evaporate in a flash, is it truly worth it? No, put on the full armor of God and no attack shall destroy you nor prosper. You cannot buy real joy, only substitutes. The spirit of joy is rich and it has the power to illuminate the room. Let no one take your joy, there is always something to be joyful about.

Reconstruction: Tearing Down the Old

Tear down the old, make room for the new. Any shaky foundation must go. If we hold on to something long enough, it will fade and eventually fall apart. This year, God wants you to make room for the new. There are some things and people that you have outgrown. Get rid of anything that’s deteriorating you instead of elevating you. Take the weight off your shoulders and cast your cares upon him. God wants to make room for the new in your life. He wants to expand your territory, but you must be willing to go through the process of reconstruction (transformation). There are some things in you that must be rebuild. There are some old ways, thinking and strong holds that must be given to him, in order to go to the next level. We are our greatest enemies if we are resistant to change. Allow God to create in you a new heart, spirit and mind. Tear down the old, make room for the new. Not my will, but thy will be done.

Morning Inspiration: Something New

Here is a quick and simple message to get your day going. Set new goals and challenge yourself to do something different. Every day is a new day! Wake up and rejoice that you are still alive and breathing. You made it through another day which should never be taken for granted. A new day means a new opportunity and a new victory. Proverbs 3:6 says, “In all of thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths”. Don’t dim your light in a dark place, let it shine. Be different. Be a blessing. Dare to be your best you!

You Are Destined for Success: 2016

|

You are equipped with the tools and everything that you need to do what God has called you to do. Nevermind if the pathway looks funny, as if nothing is changing. Do not take this as if you going in the wrong direction. What’s important to remember is that God is working behind the scenes. Nothing is what its appears or looks. Going through tough times is sometimes an indication and confirmation that your on the right path. Don’t quit just because you do not naturally see the results you would like. Don’t become discoruage. Don’t quit on yourself.

It does not matter if you still do not see the results you would like to see, still continue anyway. Don’t see it as sign to quit. Become motivated as ever, for nothing shall be impossible with God. God has given you the ability to do what you are called to do. He wants to see if you are able to build and stretch your faith within certain circumstances. He wants to be able to see if you will truly hold on to his word when everything looks funny. He is not man that he shall lie, for he is a God of truth.

You are not labeled by what everyone has said about you. It’s not too late. Blow the dust off your dream and get started, for the best is yet to come. It does not matter about age or the amount of experience. You can do it. ingrain these words in your mind that you are destined for success. Amen!

Remove All Distractions: 2016

His words are richer than gold and sweeter than honey. This new year shall be a year of difference. He is preparing you for a higher place. Follow the ways of the Lord and not a path of distractions or destruction. Truly focus on what the Lord is saying. There will always be something or someone who tries to distract us from his purpose for our lives. Focus on what matters.

Your attention is too valuable to spend on nonsense.

When entering into this new year,  only focus on his will. discard any distractions that are a hindrance to your assignment. Focus on building a stronger and intimate relationship with him. We do not have the luxury of time to dwell on what everyone else is doing nor the current trends or what’s popular. Our minds should be so wrapped into him, that nothing else matters. Remove all distractions and watch him show up in your life with his presence like never before. The best is yet to come.  Open your heart, mind, and soul and receive him today.

The Trap of Pity Parties: Get Back Up

No one can earn salvation with good works. Our righteousness is as filthy rags compared to his holiness. No matter how many mistakes or pitfalls you stumble on, always get back up.

Proverbs 24:16 says that, For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again.

Do not fall into the trap of self pity. It prohibits and blocks what God wants you to receive. God does not love you any less because of your falls. Your value did not go down. You are a vessel that he can use. Everything is a process, so allow patience to fill your heart, so that he may have his way. Run your race, there’s no time stop. Continue to get back up. Go and sin no more!
