The Magnifying Glass of Deceit

magnifying-glass-1020141_1920

The word magnify can be defined as to make (something) appear larger than it is, especially with a lens or microscope. You can be on the right road and not feel like it. The devil will try to give you an illusion on how “everyone” is so much ahead of you. You can actually be on the right road and path, but there are people who are secretly insecure who will try to “boost” themselves up to make it appear as if you’re the one that’s doing something wrong. Here is where the illusion sets in, you can be headed in the correct direction that your supposed to be in, but someone can make a false impression about how things are going for them in order to attempt to make you feel less than. The truth is that they have to magnify (not in confidence) who they are, because they are the ones who are unhappy and broken within.

Be comfortable in knowing who you are. The devil will always try to twist and distort the meaning of God’s word. He attempted to do the same thing to Jesus when he was walking in the wilderness. He twist Eve’s perception on the tree of  knowledge by lying. If he doesn’t deceive you by words or temptation, then he will deceive you by painting a false narrative and perspective. He will try to turn the truth into a lie and a lie into the truth. When you don’t have something that you desire at the moment, the devil will maximize it to make it look greater than what it really is or what it appears.

Watch out for that Magnifying glass of deceit. The devil will always try to make you believe that you are missing out on whatever it is that you don’t have yet. Sometimes, we put greater emphasis and size things up to a greater extent, because we don’t have it right now. We tend to forget that there is a major difference between reality vs an idea.  (Sometimes reality vs illusion). The reality of what we want before its time will come with consequences, sorrows, and many cost along the way. We may not feel the way that we think we will feel, once we are actually in the situation. (Or rebelling by taking matters into our own hands).

Remember that the enemy will try to gloss up what you don’t have and will promise that the grass is greener, when really he will just promise glitter.  He will highlight and maximize anything you don’t have to make it appear bigger and more. Please do not fall into this snare and trap. For example, how many people rush into marriage because it was something that they currently don’t have. (Nothing wrong with the desire, but when we do not love ourselves nor have the peace and contentment within us, then it will appear as if it’s something we need in order to be fulfilled which becomes an idol). Wait your time. The LORD rewards those who waits patiently and faithfully for him.

Remember that whatever it is that you want, is always going to seem like it is more than what it really is because don’t you have it. This could apply to finances, career/job promotions or any form of elevation in life. Be cautious to not get so caught up into what you don’t have. Use this time as preparation for this is a training grounds. Do not fall prey to an illusion that will not cause fulfillment. Only Jesus can completely fulfill us. Allow everything in your life to fall in place. He will reward those who stay diligently seeking him. as well as those who continue to endure until the end. The devil will always make something appear the opposite of what it is. Do not fall of for the magnifying glass of deceit.

It is written in Proverbs 11:13 “The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them”.

Disguises & Masks

You have to know who you are and who God called you to be. It’s so easy to get entangled up in a mess that we cannot get ourselves out of. It’s also simple to lose who you are in this world. If we are constantly seeking attention in the wrong places and areas, then we will have a false sense of satisfaction and security. Be who you are. Live in the authenticity of who he created you to be. Do not waste the greatness of what God has deposit into you. Seek God first and always put on the full armor of God. Everything that’s popular does not always have power. Don’t be a counterfeit or imitation of another person. Make everything you do pleasing in his sight. Don’t live a life of deceit but instead a life of holiness. Remove your mask. The funny thing about masks is they are uncomfortable. A person can only wear a mask for so long, like a wolf in sheep’s clothing. (It will eventually come off) Lay your all down before God and he shall cover and shower you with his blessings. He shall protect you through the storms and the rocky waves of life for he is God and God alone!
